Since my father passed away from Pancreatic Cancer over three years ago, I’ve met more and more people who have been affected by this terrible disease. From friends to coworkers, I’m constantly surprised by the number of people whose lives have been changed for the worse.
When my father was diagnosed, my daughter was just over a year old. I remember being so torn between trying to spend time with him and her, and watching my mom trying to feed him healthy food while she took care of him. No matter what we did, it never seemed like enough. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Through our efforts, we are working to change the circumstances surrounding families of patients and caregivers.
We believe it is possible to spend the precious time needed with loved ones when they are ill, and that healing is possible through food. We invite you to share your stories of how changing your lifestyle has contributed to your better health, whether or not you have been affected by cancer. We believe that together, we can heal the world. When my father was diagnosed, my daughter was just over a year old.
